T/SCAN software, via a user-friendly, X-Windows, Motif Graphical userInterface, provides interactive scanner control, command file editing,raster image display, raster editing functions, and color look up tableoptimization techniques. All links to the scanner driver software areselected by simple icon picking. Command file editing with T/SCAN issimplified by pop-up menu presentations along with the capability ofusing previously built command files as templates for new command files.This feature supports rapid reconfiguration of the scanner to support awide range of colored maps and documents as well as applications-specificdata requirements. T/SCAN also includes tools to facilitate developmentand optimization of color look up tables and layer separation filtersthrough interactive, color palette preview and modification.
